MARC Conversion

Many bibliographic applications such as library management systems call for, or use, MARC format data.   Sometimes this is unavailable or needs to be enhanced by the addition of local data.  At other times, although the MARC content is required, the data is more acceptable in MicroLIF format.

The TVC Partnership have considerable experience in reformatting data from a variety of sources into UK MARC or US MARC /MARC 21.  Either of these may be converted to MicroLIF with or without the addition of local data.  

We can provide tailored applications to perform such conversions.

BATCH Processing

We can provide bespoke software to cascade ISBN searches across a number of CD-ROM databases such as BookBank and BookData

WEB SITES

We have designed and installed a number of web sites for Library Suppliers as well as those for the Book Trade Benevolent Society and the South Bucks branch of the U3A (University of the Third Age)
